Give the gift of water this Advent | The Leprosy Mission

No child should have to grow up without clean water. No child should fear going to the toilet without privacy, safety, and dignity.

But across Sri Lanka, lack of clean water and basic sanitation is threatening the health and futures of children affected by leprosy.

Thibekka and Ajai have to dig a hole outside so their children can go to the toilet. When the monsoon comes, the family has to use nearby fields.

They rely on the village well for their water. Some days it is bone dry. Thibekka is often stopped from using the well out of fear of leprosy, and has to return to her children with empty buckets.

Your gift today will provide toilets and wells for families affected by leprosy, so no child lives in vulnerability and fear.

It costs £300 to provide a family with a toilet, and £415 to provide them with clean water.

This Advent, will you be a wellspring of hope for families like Thibekka and Ajai's?
